Doris H. Bickford’s soul departed  this earth on Saturday, July 2, 2016, to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Doris was the second of five children born to John and Letha (McMahon) Sarver in Fayette County, Illinois on March 21, 1920, their only child to live beyond 79 years. Doris graduated from Mt. Clemens High School in 1937 and retired from Occidental Petroleum in 1982. On October 17, 1953, she married Charles Bickford.  He preceded her in death on January 24, 1984. Together  Doris and Charles had one child, a daughter, Dianne.

She was also preceded by 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived and greatly mourned by her loving daughter Dianne (David) Meyer, grandsons Jeffrey Meyer, Jordan (Ashley) Meyer, Jared  Meyer; great granddaughter, Rylyn Meyer; and several  nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2-7:00 pm, ­­­­­­­­­­­­­Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road; Temperance, Michigan where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Rick Flood, associate pastor of Compelled Church, officiating. Entombment will be at the chapel at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Twp, Michigan on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Bedford Goodfellows or Salvation Army.
